Booking Forms
Each individual participant should complete a booking form, or if under the age of 18 as part of a family group, a form should be completed by a parent or guardian on their behalf. The information you provide will be used for booking and administrative purposes only and not shared or used for any other purpose unless you agree otherwise, or to comply with the law.
You are required to pay the full cost of your chosen course or guided walk at the time of booking. Once we receive your payment and booking form, the contract between us will become binding.
There is also the need to complete a Medical Consent form, which will include any relevant medical history or allergies that might affect your ability to take part in the chosen walk or activity. This information is treated in strict confidence but may be disclosed to medical professionals in the event of an emergency.

- If a member of your household has tested positive for, or is displaying symptoms of Covid-19 (within the last 14 days), we kindly ask you to reschedule (if possible) or cancel your booking.
- If you are subject to quarantine restrictions (e.g. 14 day Travel Quarantine or Track and Trace), we kindly ask you to reschedule (if possible) or cancel your booking.
- Any cancellation you make based on the Covid-19 criteria listed above will receive a full refund.

Cancellation
Changes or Cancellation by You
Any cancellation must be notified in writing by the person who made the booking. If you cancel your course for any reason other than Covid-19: –
(a) more than 21 days prior to the start date, we will offer an alternative date for your course, or an 80% refund of the full cost.
(b) between 21 to 14 days before the start date, we will offer an alternative date for your course, or a full refund minus 50% of the full cost of the course.
(c) less than 14 days to the commencement of the course, no refund will be payable.
Any change of course date is subject to availability.
Changes or Cancellation by Us
Before you enter into a contract with us, we reserve the right to change any of the facilities, services or prices described in our website. We also reserve the right to cancel the walk or course. For example, if the minimum number of clients required for an activity is not fulfilled, we may have to cancel.
In the event of cancellation by Goochi Adventures before the walk, you will receive a 100% refund, or if possible and you choose it, the walk rescheduled. Once the activity has begun, the leader may decide to alter or curtail the activity to ensure the safety or welfare of the group. Should the itinerary change or be curtailed once the activity has begun, on safety or welfare grounds, no refund will normally be given.
It is unlikely we will have to make any changes to your activity, however we do plan the arrangements some time in advance. Any changes are usually very minor, and we will advise you at the earliest possible date.
If a major change becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your activity begins. A major change is an alteration of the start or finish time of your activity by more than 12 hours, or a change of course location. When a major change or cancellation occurs you will have the choice of either accepting the change of arrangements, rescheduling the activity, or cancelling. We will refund all payments made directly to us in respect of the cost should you wish to cancel. We will not however be in a position to refund any personal expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking (e.g. travel expenses; purchase of equipment; etc.)
Safety
Participants agree to follow the instructions of the Leader and to comply with any health and safety requirements as directed by the Leader. The Leader may alter the agreed itinerary if necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of the group. The Leader may choose to exclude any participant from the activity who does not comply with health and safety instructions or on health grounds. Participants must not take part in guided walks and hikes under the influence of alcohol or drugs and anyone believed to be so will be excluded. The Leader holds a Lowland Leader qualification from the relevant governing body (Mountain Training England); alongside an appropriate first aid qualification; and carries out rigorous risk assessments for each activity. The Leader carries the necessary public liability insurance, and in addition participants are advised to take out their own travel (if applicable) and health insurance as deemed appropriate by them.
- Participants agree to observe the mandatory kit list – which is there to ensure that as a group we are as safe, self sufficient and resilient as possible.
- Participants recognise that whilst we will make every effort to observe social distancing and essential hygiene before, during and after the activity, taking part involves a slight increase in the risk of contracting coronavirus, when compared with not taking part.
- Due to the need for safe social distancing, participants and leaders should be operating within their comfort zones at all times. The Leader reserves the right to change the itinerary to ensure that this occurs.
The information on the Goochi Adventures website regarding each walk or event will provide an indication of a level of physical fitness required.
IF YOU ARE IN ANY DOUBT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR ABILITY TO TAKE PART PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE BOOKING.
PARTICIPATION STATEMENT
Our Participation Statement follows the nationally recognised approach for outdoor adventure activities and is as follows:
Hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
Whilst we don’t offer remote mountaineering as an activity at this time, our walks take place outdoors and therefore in potentially hazardous environments. The Leader will take every step to ensure the safety and welfare of the group and third parties but participants should be aware that our walks will sometimes be in a relatively remote places, and therefore should accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
All personal property and equipment are, at all times, carried at your own risk whilst taking part in our activities. We will not be responsible whatsoever for any loss, damage to your property and/or personal equipment of any kind.
Feedback
Your opinion is very important and if you would like to let us know how you enjoyed your activity we would be pleased to hear from you. We are never complacent about the standard of service that we provide and are always looking for ways to improve service to our clients.
